Best music app

I have tried a bunch of music apps and this is the best for someone who has eclectic tastes like myself – from classical to jazz to rock. Tons of features and the developer is constantly updating and making improvements. It replaced the music app on my phone!

Tried the rest, but this is the best!

May sound corny or trite, but over the years Ive looked for a music app that sorted & played my music the way I wanted! If I did find one, seems the developer(s) stopped improving or updating it to be in harmony with the current iOS version. Dont know how I stumbled onto Cesium ... but Im glad I did! Its not only feature rich, but the developer keeps on keeping on! Hes always improving, adding, and rethinking this baby. Even though Ive been a beta tester of Cesium for quite some time, Ive also plunked down the asking price of the app. Its well worth it; on so many levels. The biggest being: any man that works this hard on improving an already great app deserves to get paid—and then some! Cesiums interface is deceptively clean & simple, yet is so robust. I love when Im in the gym and I can choose and artist and sort & play an entire catalog of music with a few clicks and also sort that playlist from old to new or new to old. I can also create a temp playlist adding albums or songs with just a swipe and click in any list. Just some of the reasons I use Cesium every day! Cesium doesnt need to replace Apples Music app but will augment it. Though, for me, Apples app is hidden in a folder. I will never want or need to use it now. So yes, yes yes ... I would highly recommend Cesium!

Perfect Player

Im so glad I found this. Apples native library player is so sloppy that I kept resorting to Spotify and ignoring my devices music library. Not anymore! Cesium is clean, neat, and functions perfectly. Its everything I want to play my iPod music with and keep it organized. Id give this app ten stars if possible!

Fantastic music player

This is what the default Music app should be. Its not cluttered, it has easy playlist management tricks, and its customizable. Thanks!

Amazing!!

This app puts Apples Music app to shame!! I love that you can also play audiobooks through this app. I hate having multiple apps for iTunes files. This app helps with that. Please add a feature to allow podcasts and iTunes U files to be played in app. Also, if you could add the ability to skip through chapters on audio books that would be sweet!

Pure, unadulterated awesomeness

I loathe the changes that Apple has been making to their Music app. Inscrutable artist images, incessant nagging to subscribe, no customizable toolbar. Its crap! Cesium is not that. Cesium is what a music app should be. You should buy Cesium. You will buy Cesium.

Amazing

This makes the Apple stock music player look like 3rd party crap

Amazing Alternative

This app is an awesome alternative to the stock bloatware that apples "Music" app has become. Easy to use, the UI is simple and intuitive. Everything you could need in a music app!

Fair and Usable, Thanks

Ive spent four hours searching for a better alternative to Apples HORRIBLE iOS 9 Music player, which both deleted vital features from the player in iOS 8, and the iOS 9 Music player also now tries to sell me lots of things I couldnt care less about. Cesium player has restored to iOS 9 many of the music functions which Apple nuked. However, Mr. Clay, I would gladly pay an app cost of $10 to have larger fonts which are more easily readable on an iPhone 5.

The best.

Cesium is what the Music app should be. The organization is clean and clear. Id love an iPad version, but its hard to complain. Dark mode is *beautiful*.

Bravo!

Apple seriously dropped the ball with their stock music app. Im glad I found this music player! Seriously the best thing out there for any iOS after 7. Only thing that could make it better is .flac support! Id play $100 for that!

Adding my voice to the chorus of praise

I love this. I use it constantly. There is SO MUCH terrific goodness here – some of which, admittedly, isnt immediately apparent. Youll want to take the time to find it all and get comfortable with it, because once you do, youll wonder how you ever did without it. Ive tried several others, and this one really stands out. And the author is wonderfully responsive too!

This application doesnt work!

Blocked on the first screen talking about collection control. The application is crashing.

Upadtz cause crash

App now crashes when trying to access playlist

Nice, but...

Nice little player, better than the stock app. but few things to add: please add 3s touch. please add: an automatic day/ night mode. please add: german localisation. also: that "more dots" could move up to the bar where search is as i would prefer an even more simplified icon bar (say artist/ albums/ playlist/ settings, or even less on the lower bar). thanks, keep it up!

Nice music player

Really nice, well-made music player. This is the one you search for. Only the app icon is not that well made.

Great

Best music player! Lovely features: landscape mode, possibility to collect playlist songs into albums

Classic Mode is a Killer Feature!

I love the improved classic mode in this update. It simply sorts the tracks of selected genres not by artist but by composer as its useful for all kinds of classical music. Sounds quite simple but no other app I know provides this. Here its simple and works like a charm. Really a killer feature! Great!

Long Swipe brilliant

Now we can create a mix in seconds! Great work! I personaly think there a a few to many steps to switch between library, playscreen and que - but overall a great player, now my standart-app for music.

Just perfect

I love Cesium. Since the standard music app got so bloated up over time with Apple music, radio etc. Im very glad Cesium brings back the classic music interface we used to love so much since our first iPod / iPhone. And the best for me: audiobooks are back inside the music app making for a much simpler experience than accessing them separately. :-) Thanks a million to the developer. Its small things but they really make a huge difference!
