... when the native IOS music app wasnt a complete clusterf~ Cesium restores some sanity to the iPhone music enjoyment experience. Its attractive, logically laid out and intuitive. I also love the high contrast and themed color schemes. If it had a graphic EQ, it would be the answer to all my prayers.

Remember when the iPhone was clearly a direct descendant of the iPod and its music player was the best thing besides being able to text and make phone calls? If you long for the days of being able to play your music and navigate artists and playlists in an INTUITIVE AND SIMPLE way, then this app is what you need. No cruft, no weird tabs, no unholy color combinations, no insistence on lugging along iTunes streaming even though youre firmly rooted in your own personal music library, this app makes the iPhone again a great device for listening to your own music library. Hear that, IOS devs?

I loved the old iOS music app (from back when it was the iPod app). But with iOS 9, Apple wrecked it. It didnt function and it made everything more clunky. Luckily Cesium added back all the functionality Music once had. Its a dream to use.

Ill increase my rating to 5 stars when the ability to heart/unheart songs is added! ❤️=⭐️

Easy to use app, more straightforward than the Apple music app. Has many advanced features and the developer is constantly updating it and is quick to respond to any inquiries. Highly recommended!

This is about the cleanest and best interface I have found since Apple crippled their old music player with Apple Music.

I wanted a stripped down music player like what ios7 had…this appeared be exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately it crashes all the time. I bought it today and it’s already crashed about 5 times on a brand new iphone6plus If the developer is able to fix this, I would be more than happy to recommend it.

If you have your own music library, this app is perfect. I grew tired of the latest Apple player and was ready to give up on being able to easily work with a large collection until I found this app. This app is incredible not only as a player, but as a music manager as well. If your music is important to you, give this app a try.

Love this app. Finally, someone who gets it - most good music doesn’t fit into the shrink-wrapped produced pop shoebox. This app solves most of the problems of Apple’s totally useless player, and then goes above and beyond. Also, the developer is super responsive. After one app release that was a severe regression, he quickly fixed the problems and released a much-improved version.

Wish my Apple Music songs would show

Out of 2219 songs and 200 artists, 38 songs and 4 artists are visible in this app! Completely useless, buyer beware!

It performs quite slow (touch sensitivity feels lowered; e.g. native swipe-back gesture wont work at times) and crashes a lot e.g. when adjusting settings. I dont see the added value compared to the native >8.4 music app.

…But I just can’t. Don’t get me wrong, the interface is fantastic, but that’s where it ends. It’s clunky, lags a lot, and cannot play more than 15 songs before crashing. It requires a heavy performance update, ASAP. Currently it’s basically useless. I do hope updates are rolled out to fix the current issues.

Ive bought dozens of replacements for the abomination of a music player. Most are hard to use, have confusing User Interfaces, and randomly crash. A few work with cloud based music...badly. Then I tried Cesium and WOW! It has a great, simple UI that I can use without cursing. It doesnt crash and works with my playlists and music in the cloud. It WORKS! Best couple bucks Ive spent on the app store.

This app does everything the Music app used to do before streaming music was added and complicated everything. I find it much easier to shuffle all songs and play an artist than the Music app. Developer responded when I had a question. Thanks to this app I love listening to my iTunes library again!

Allows me to listen to songs and albums in chronological order. Been looking for something like this. Would like to have ability to change album order since it goes in alphabetical order instead of really chronological, but it is close.

Cesium is an elegant, straight forward music player that can be extensively customized. It is everything that the Apple Music Player should be, but no longer is. It is quick to use. It doesnt get in the way

Very clean look and nicely customized.

Finally a music player for those of us who liked the old iOS 6 music player for its clean interface and organizational power. If you have thousands and thousands of tracks across hundreds of albums, especially with classical and soundtracks, this is the player for you. And to top it off the developer is great and actually is responsive to issues and suggestions. Ive tried other apps but this one is my current favorite. Highly recommended.
