Great music app!

This app is amazing it needs more reviews and positive reviews because its everything you need.

A breath of fresh air

When I bought my iPhone 6 all was well until I opened the iTunes app. What a tragic disaster it is. I stumbled across Cesium on some random subreddit and what a great music app it has turned out to be! Easy to use, intuitive and very user friendly. And I dont fear any of the updates because they are all beneficial. Well done.

Great!

Showing steady improvement! Can be a bit slow to load, but it is an awesome replacement for the built-in player.

What Apple should have done

Like many of you, when IOS whatever-it-is rolled out the new and improved music app, I wanted to throw my phone out the truck window. Why did Apple try to force the subscription service down our throats so blatantly at the expense of our own music? Luckily, I was directed here. Caesium is exactly what I wanted, and exactly what the music app should be: A MUSIC PLAYER, not a radio, not a giant link to the store, not Sirius. Do yourself a favour and replace the stock app with this one. You wont look back. EDIT: after todays update, this app is even better. I wasnt a huge fan of the circular "now playing" screen, but the revamp today is great.

Great alternative to default app

This app is the answer to the now unusable default music app. Its simple and actually has all the features I need and want. The sleek new design looks great. The developer actually listens to constructive reviews which means the app gets better with each update.

The best music app ..

Love the new updates and new now playing screen ... This app is so simplistic yet has so many function options and is so personally customizable, its really much much better than apples default music app - especially these new versions that are out w the new iOS. The only thing that would possibly make this app better would be a sleep timer incorporated somewhere ... Something to consider?

The best music app available in the store

I was looking for a replacement of the default music player and I found this app. It surely worth the money spent, and since I start using Cesium I never opened the default player again. The developer is listening to the users and answering timely. I reported a minor bug, and was fixed within a week. Thanks Mike!

The best music app

Cesium is simply the best music app around. Its slick, streamlined, good looking, well supported by its author, works in landscape mode, has gestures. Best money spent on the app store.

Just music

The best app to listen to my huge (offline) archive of MP3. For everyone whos been missing the dear old iPod interface, this proved to be far better than the native Music iOS app; I can choose the genre to find albums grouped by author, instead of a never ending unusable list. Easy, straightforward app: just what I was looking for.

Finally

Simple, slim , minimal and perfectly (up to now) working. Back to iTunes as it used to be.Bravo!

A masterpiece of the UI

The reat things that makes this app a PERFECT music player: -Album artwork not covered or darkened by status bar -Sort music by year (ascending) so we can appreciate an artists musical evolution again -translucent UI not so translucent, for a clear view of content -custom colour themes the only things i would change isarethe italic font in the Now Playing UI, making smoother animations and changing the app icon to another colour because the app store is saturated of blue icons. Anyway this app is BY FAR awesome, incredibly good and the best music player for that I’ve seen in years. Thank you a lot!!!!

Thank you

Finally, a music player to make it easy to play your music. Dont get me wrong, I love having unwanted services shoved in my face as much as the next guy. And UI clutter

Amazing alternative to apples music app

This app is fast, easy to use, and has amazing features. For instance, you can view your iTunes playlists not only by song, but also by artist, genre, etc, and play only what you want. Finally you can listen to your music the way you want it without dealing with apples horrible broken interface and lack of options.

I wish I could give you more money

Having a logical use of Genre (i.e. Genre / Artist / Album / Song) is worth 10 times the money to me. Thank you for allowing me to sort through my music effortlessly!!!

Sanity restored!

Why in the world would an organization that put 3,000 songs in your pocket suddenly decide to deprive users of the most efficient way to navigate those thousands of songs? Have they put the marketing department in charge of UX? Hey Apple, you guys invented intuitive interfaces. Whats up? This app is awesome! Thanks!!!!

Great, and even better for Classical Music

Just when Apple makes their Music app even more unwieldy (e.g., by making it much more difficult to discover how to shuffle a genre, and by generally making navigation between different modes into a veritable maze), along comes a music player app that is actually a *pleasure* to use, and easy to navigate. It also very comprehensively handles the half of my music collection that Apple has stubbornly neglected for years — Classical Music! Cesium does all the things I have been wishing for — sort/group by Composer, shuffle by Album; it’s all there. Two thumbs way, way up! Apple’s Music app has disappeared from its place in the dock to the bottom of a folder off the home page, and Cesium has taken its place. Bravo, two thumbs way up!

Still forces you to rely on iTunes

It presents itself as an alternative to iTunes and Apple Music. However, its reliance on the iTunes nightmare makes it just as frustrating.

This developer gets it!

Love this app! The sorting and shuffling features have long been ignored by the big guys who think they know more about what you want in a music app than you do. This is excellent!

I forgot how a good music app is supposed to work

Cesium is a breath of fresh air. Simple, clean, intuitive, focused on doing the Right Thing. It even has clean audiobook integration, which Apple threw out long ago. Lovely work.

Its the little things that count

This lets me make a queue while I have my phone connected to my car, which the music app doesnt let me do anymore. Not to mention, I love keeping my iTunes organized and I like keeping a play count of all the songs and this app not only keeps the play count going but r showed the play count on your phone and the last date you played the song! 5/5 stars
