Random mode used to play songs (albums, playlists...) by random (meaning that after each songs played once they will do over in an different order) its not longer the case. The feature I bought this app is gone, so am I

I love Cesium. Since the standard music app got so bloated up over time with Apple music, radio etc. Im very glad Cesium brings back the classic music interface we used to love so much since our first iPod / iPhone. And the best for me: audiobooks are back inside the music app making for a much simpler experience than accessing them separately. :-) Thanks a million to the developer. Its small things but they really make a huge difference!

And it keeps getting better with every update! Love the new sorting options. The night mode is still really buggy though, causes the app to crash. Had to reinstall to fix.

Now we can create a mix in seconds! Great work! The dev keeps on optimizing and bugfixing, that is a big plus. I personaly think there a a few to many steps to switch between library, playscreen and que - but overall a great player, now my standard-app for music.

I used to use the first iPod Touch - and - it was a perfect iPod. I perfect player for your locally stored music. Many years went by and I was on other platforms. Recently I went back to Apple - iPhone SE - and the music player was so, so frustrating. I just wanted a simple music player for my phone. Instead what was included in iOS9 was a music player that was asking me to join Apple Music. A player that was advertising Radio - which would nto work unless I bought a subscription to Apple Music. I didnt like the Music home screen - the way it was displaying recently added albums It also has front and centre @CONNECT - I have no idea what that even is and when clicking it - I will never use it - no one I know even uses it if theyve even heard of it. Basically - the iOS music player has turned into a bloated piece of garbage while I was away. Cesium is how it should be. Simple - some simple settings that help you make it look/act more to your liking. Periodic Icons are great - look them uo :) The only thing I cannot find how to do - if possible - is delete music from my iPhone on the go - which I do when Im on the road to weed out anything I dont want (Im not so much a playlist guy). Also - I contacted the developer and he responded overnight, so, very happy with my purchase :)

I was going to give it 4 stars but I cant fault it. I was a bit put off before I bought it as there was a lot of blurb about genres (which I never use) but like the old music app, you can decide what tabs to display and it defaults to albums, artists and playlists anyway. You sync playlists in apples Music/iTunes and it gets them just fine. Best of all theres no streaming or radios. Purely for locally stored music which is all I have or want. Its such a relief to get back to where apple were when they did music well.

Black, sleek and efficient! You can select all songs from all albums to play by a given artist unlike Apples player. I like it! Buy it, you will too!

This is essentially a better version of the old Music app before Apple messed everything up with their awful Apple Music. I am never going back to the default player ever again. Good work!

The dev has seemingly been working hard to fix a lot of crashes that I experienced before, but whats even more impressive: I asked for a small change (adding the sort by date added to songs lists) and its been implemented in the following update. Now this could be a coincidence but Im thankful still, this makes this app the perfect replacement for the pre-iOS 8.4 music app. One small problem persists: not always does it recognize swipe gestures. Touch sensitivity is a bit low.

Tired of dealing with apple music’s advertisement on your iOS device? This fixes it, and does more than apple ever hoped to think of (which is kinda sad that a multibillion dollar corporation cannot figure out how to make navigating music easy.) Amazingly intuitive, and incredibly customizable this App is what I wanted and more. You might hesitate a buying a music app, but this is well worth it. Wants: Small alphabet scroll-bar on the artists tab (like on the songs.) One wish is that one day this would replace the lock screen player and quick access player, but who knows if that’s actually possible. I hate having the apple “heart” on the lock screen and not having the shuffle and repeat icons. To hug the creator of this app.

I downloaded this player because I was tired of Apples standard music app becoming less user friendly with each update and now wholly centered around shoving apple music down our throats. This player is the best alternative I have found on the app store. I may be a minority at this point but I still download all of my music instead of streaming and I have thousands of songs and hundreds of artists. Apples music app has left people like me in the dirt. This app is the best alternative for music lovers like myself with a large downloaded collection. The only minor suggestions I would give for future updates would be to add a setting that would allow you to view all songs by an artist by default instead of having the album view by default and then having to click view all songs. Another setting option that would be much appreciated is to be able to turn off the artist/album pictures entirely, including even the blank spot where the picture would be (much like the old school ipod screen used to look like while scrolling). That would allow for more artists and songs to be viewed at the same time on screen while scrolling through the list. Makes for a cleaner look as well. Those 2 options are literally the only minor suggestions I can think of. Otherwise you killed it. Fantastic app.

Its simple, effective, and good-looking too! Apples Music app has become a complicated mess. Cesium makes things simple again. Transfer songs using iTunes like normal. No extra steps needed. Just download this app and be happy.

This app is what the stock music app should be. Dont hesitate and try it out!

Best music app in the app store period. Please add a blurred effect to the now playing artwork or at least gives us that option in the settings.

But what happened to the ability to view the BPM tag under track details?

Not only is this app mind-bogglingly responsive, but its UI is exclusively centered around YOUR music. No distractions, no upsells; your music is all that its about. A sane interface with a sane layout, sane presets and sane customizations. I had forgotten what that was like. And it plays iCloud music too. Perfect. Youll still need the Music app to manage your music, but when its time to play... This is the experience I want to have. The app is free but you can optionally donate to the developers, ranging from $1 to what they call An "insane tip"... $5. Found myself donating more than once. This app is THAT good.
